Made in the USA, TheraCran®MAX is the only combination cranberry and pure d-mannose supplement independently tested and certified by NSF®International, offering dual-action binding to bacteria to help flush pathogens from the urinary tract.  No longer is it necessary to purchase two separate products for broad-spectrum urinary protection.

Theralogix’ unique combination of the two most established urinary tract supplements has become the new standard recommendation for our female patients suffering recurrent urinary tract infections (UTI) and cystitis.  This unique combination delivers the best of two supplements, providing 40 mg of soluble cranberry proanthocyanidins (PACs) and 1,000 mg of d-mannose in just 2 capsules per day.

Proanthocyanidins (PACs) are naturally occurring compounds in cranberries.  Clinical trials indicate that the particular type of PACs present in cranberries is beneficial for urinary tract health.  The cranberry is a native American fruit containing both soluble and insoluble PACs.  Soluble PACs help keep E. coli bacteria from attaching to the lining of the urinary tract, with clinical trials suggesting that an intake of at least 36 mg of soluble PACs is needed.  On the other hand insoluble PACs may benefit the gastrointestinal (GI) tract by limiting E. coli attachment and promoting improved immune and gut health.

The American Urological Association (AUA), Canadian Urological Association (CUA), and Society of Urodynamics, Female Pelvic Medicine & Urogenital Reconstruction have approved cranberry supplementation as a valid means of managing urinary tract infections in women.  These organizations include cranberry products in their published clinical guidelines which are designed to keep physicians up-to-date with current UTI treatment recommendations.  These important guidelines cite the efficacy and safety of cranberry.  Guidelines also cite growing healthcare concerns about bacterial resistance to traditional antibiotics, as yet another reason for the use of alternative or supplementary UTI management options.

So, why not cranberry juice or cranberry cocktail?  To reap the same benefit as just two capsules of TheraCran®Max, our patients would need to ingest 8-10 ounces of cranberry juice or cranberry cocktail daily.  Most of our patients simply will not buy and ingest that much juice for the long term.  However, most everyone can easily remember to take the recommended two daily capsules of TheraCran®MAX.

Also, TheraCran®MAX has greater shelf stability as compared with cranberry juice or cranberry cocktail preparations.  Experts suggest that the all-important soluble PAC content of cranberry juice decreases the longer it sits on the shelf or in the refrigerator.  When used according to recommendation (two capsules daily), the soluble PAC content of the natural cranberry extract contained in TheraCran®MAX is always fresh, limited only by the expiration date shown on each bottle.

What about calories?  TheraCran®MAX has markedly fewer calories than comparative amounts of cranberry juice and cranberry cocktail.  Eight ounces of cranberry juice or cocktail contains about 110 calories and 25 grams of sugar.  By comparison, TheraCran®MAX is virtually calorie-free and sugar-free!

The other critical component of duel-action TheraCran®MAX is d-mannose, which adds 1,000 mg of d-mannose per daily dose, as another layer of urinary tract protection.  D-mannose is a natural sugar found in many fruits and vegetables, and d-mannose is also naturally present within our bodies.  Although d-mannose is classified as a sugar, it is metabolized differently than glucose, so it does not raise blood sugar levels.  When taken at the recommended daily dose, TheraCran®MAX should not affect blood sugar levels.

TheraCran®MAX is now our number one recommended supplement for patients suffering recurrent cystitis and UTIs.  Click the picture for more information or to order.  When starting new medications or supplements, always check with your pharmacist about possible medication-supplement interactions.  Also, read the FAQ information associated with this supplement and consider taking advantage of a free consultation with a registered Theralogix dietitian.
